My beautiful place

Hello, I’m Anna Jeong. You can just call me Anna. I’m from S. Korea.
I lived in Seoul the capital of Korea.
I’ve lived in Swiss cottage for 5 days. I’m so happy to live with my best friend Hanna. And the place is beautiful and convenient to travel to the centre.
I think this place has good condition for living.
I hear birds singing every morning and the neighbours are kind.
I don’t know the location well but everywhere I walk is beautiful. I like this place.

Description of my house

Hello. My name is Rayehe & I will stay for a month in the U.K.
I've got a studio flat. It has a small kitchen with modern equipment.
The main reason to live here is that it's central & close to Hyde Park.
It's very conveniently located. It's just five minutes to walk to the station.
It's comfortable and I like it.

My house in London

Hello, my name is Julia and I’m German.

I live in a small house near Redbridge Station. That’s not very central. I have to use the tube for 40 minutes to be in the centre. I live with a family with 3 children. This week there is also the grandpa and grandma living with us.

My room is at the top of the house. It’s a two bed room but I’m using alone. I have my very small own bathroom.

In the house also live other students of the Oxford House College. They come from Japan, Columbia, Russia and Korea. I only meet the girl from Japan. She arrived last week and she will be in London for 6 months to improve her English language.

The house has a small back garden. Yesterday we had a barbecue there.

If I look out of my window I can look into the garden.

I am Andreas and I live in Selbach (Germany) in my family’s house. It is not very central because you often have to go to another village if you want to buy something, or you have to go to the doctor or anything like that.
The living room is the nicest place in the house. It is bright, spacious and there is an open fire. The house was built twenty years ago so it is relatively new-built compared to the other houses in the area. There is a huge garden behind the house. But on the balcony at the front side you can’t see it. Next to the house there is the garage where to cars can be parked.

Home Berlin- London

Home in Berlin

My name is Sevcan Sekertekin and I`m 23 years old.
I`m living in Berlin but my origins are from Turkey. I live in a house with 2 levels. My room is on the second level.
I have a back garden where I can relax in the summer. There are a lot of flowers in my garden and around the house. I have a garage where I put my car in. The house is conveniently located. It would take 10 minutes by bus to the next shopping mall.

Home in London

I just arrived on Saturday in the morning at London Gatwick.
I`m staying here for 6 weeks. I live in a studio flat near Liverpool Street Station. My flat isn`t very big but it is perfect for one person. It is conveniently located, just a 5 minutes walk to Liverpool Street Station. There are a lot of little shops in this area and a Tesco Market :-)
I just walked around the area and find really interesting and different shops at Bricklane. There are a lot designers and artists.
My name is Hazal and I am Turkish.
I have been in the UK since 2006. I’m recently done with college and going to start university in September.

I live in a flat with my sister and my mother.
Although there are three people at home, we have only one bedroom. So that it is quite cramped. On the other hand, I can describe the place where I live as nice, compact and conveniently located. It is only 10 minutes away to the central town by foot. We have many shops across the street. There is a primary school next to our flat as well.

In addition, I live on the ground floor which has small front garden with a patio.
The house seems like a small box from outside. As a result of living in it for 6 years, the some part of the house is run-down. But still I enjoy living there.
My name is Saba and I’m from Iran but I study in Hungary(Budapest).my house is newly built building its near the market and shopping centre. It’s in a good condition.
I like my landlord she is so kind and help me every time I need help.
My house is near the metro station and also near to my university I live in second floor and I live with my brother I have loft in my house that I put my extra book there.
In my living room I have open fire and its one bedroom house with the huge window and beautiful sunshine .and I can enjoy sunshine in a balcony with my friends. It’s a safe area and Its safe to go out every time even late at the night. I really feel comfortable for living in this situation.
My name is Gunel. I`m from Azerbaijan. I came here to study. My course is for 2weeks. I came here yesterday. Here I live in Mitcham. We have a little park near by. But haven’t enough time to walk here. There are many dogs. They were very noisy yesterday. Because of their sound I cant watch football :@ I think they didn’t want Spain to win :)
Then, the house where we stay is not spacious. I`m sharing my room with my sister. She also came here for the course.
I hope I enjoy my stay in London :)

Our hostel

Our names are Agustin Nieto and Manuel Martinez and we are from Spain (Vigo)

Well, we’re living in a kind of hostel for young people, although there are people of all ages. It is located near Earl’s Court tube station, in Bolton Gardens. There are a lot of parks near the place and some pubs, but, for the moment, is a quiet place. The hostel is an old house with four floors. We, Agustin and Manuel, are living on the highest floor with two French boys, one American and one Mexican. The room is not very bright because there is only a little window besides is quite hot. However the hostel is well located and spacious.
We are going to stay in London for 3 weeks and we hope to enjoy the trip ; )

My House!!

My name is Carlos, I’m from the south west of Spain.

I’m living in Manor House, Zone 2. It’s a nice area, lots of amenities around the area and a lovely park there; Finsbury Park, so it’s conveniently located. I’m sharing a lovely Victorian House. The house has three floors. I live in the last one, in my own room. My room is nice, it’s normal, not so big, but not so small either and it’s so bright. There is a really nice garden, so, at summer time, you can enjoy the lovely sun. The kitchen is very big and bright as well. I’m sharing the house with three more people, so it’s a very affordable place to live in
.
Today was our first lesson together. We started off with just two students - Sabah and Ming, but by the end of the morning there were 12 of us!
We started studying from OUTCOMES and learnt all about describing where we live. Today we have all written a short post using some of the new vocabulary we learnt.
